But others say using AI to act makes a lot of sense. If AI is cheaper than human actors, and can do just as good a job, then it makes sense for film makers to use AI. It means they can make more films for movie lovers to enjoy.

No! If movie lovers cannot tell the difference between a human actor and an AI, then there is no reason for humans to keep on acting. But this does not mean we have stopped valuing human skills.
