Gaza - The smaller of two Palestinian territories, home to two million people. It is located on the Mediterranean coast, bordered by Israel and Egypt.
Mentor - A person who helps a less experienced person learn and grow by providing guidance and support.
Israeli - From Israel, a country in the Middle East. Just over 70% of its population is Jewish, while 20% is Arab.
Palestinians - People from Palestine, an area located in the Southern Levant region of Western Asia.
Humanitarian - People or views that advocate for human welfare
Ceasefire - An end to fighting — often temporary.
Depression - Low mood that affects someone's daily life, and can last for weeks or months.
Evacuation - Leaving an area due to danger, often temporarily.
Paramedics - A person trained in emergency medical care who often treats patients before they reach hospital.
Benjamin Netanyahu - The prime minister of Israel.
Hamas - A militant Palestinian organisation, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007. It is listed as a terrorist organisation in the UK.
