It is unpredictable and uncanny at times, especially from the eyes of a pre-teen.
Currently, there is a BIG FIGHT going on between the US and the rest of the world. A fight about shopping!
Imagine your best friend and you both love trading Pokémon cards. One day, you decide that your super-rare Pikachu is worth five candy bars instead of two. Your friend gets mad and says, “Fine! Then YOUR Charmander is going to cost you double bubble gum!”
Now you are both sulking and refusing to trade. That is pretty much what is happening between the US and India right now — but instead of candy and Pokémon cards, it is over cars, rice, and tech gadgets!
The US says India charges too much to bring American stuff into their country. It is like putting a giant “entry fee” sign on American goods.
So, the US decides to charge a bigger entry fee on Indian stuff. India does not just sit there eating samosas; no, they hit back by charging American products, such as apples and almonds, a bigger entry fee to India.
It is called a tariffA form of tax on imports. war. But do not worry, no tanks are involved, or superheroes fighting. It is just leaders arguing over money and taxes. It is like two giant shops having a price fight, and we, the customers, are the ones stuck paying more.
Honestly, both countries need each other. India loves American jeans and iPhones. The US loves Indian spices and software geniuses. If they keep fighting, everyone might end up with empty shopping carts and sad wallets.
In my opinion, they should just sit down with some pizza and mango milkshakes and figure it out. Maybe even play a game of rock-paper-scissors to settle it! Because honestly, even Pokémon card trades are not this dramatic.
Hopefully, the grown-ups will remember that teamwork makes the dream work — and that even the biggest fights can be solved with snacks and smiles!
