Infrastructure - The basic systems and services that a country needs to keep it going.
European Commission - The executive body of the EU, responsible for suggesting new EU laws and overseeing their implementation.

Paradigm shifts - A fundamental change in approach based usually on new, or different, thinking.
Fascist - Following fascism, a set of ideologies that advocates dictatorial power, political violence, suppression of opposition, traditional gender roles, and official racism.
Nazi Party - The radical far-right movement and political party in Germany led by Adolf Hitler in the 1930s.
Genocide - The annihilation of a people, either through killing of its members, or through the suppression of its culture.
Nato - The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation was founded in 1949 to unite Western democracies in Europe and North America against the perceived growing threat of the USSR. It now has 31 members.
Tyranny - Cruel and aggressive use of power, often used to describe countries under the grip of a single oppressive leader.
