Archaeologist - A person who studies history through the excavation of sites and artefacts.
Port Talbot - A town in south Wales, near to Swansea.
Aqueducts - Bridges for water, often carrying canals over hollows or valleys.
Julius Caesar - A Roman general, politician, and dictator (100–44 BCE) who played a key role in the fall of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire. He was stabbed to death by a group of Roman senators.
Minorities - Group of people from races, social groups, cultures etc that are distinct to most other people in the area or situation.
Danube - Europe's second-longest river, flowing from Germany to the Black Sea.
Silk Road - A network of Eurasian trade routes linking China to the West, running from the second century BC to the 15th Century AD.
Ottoman Empire - Also known as the Turkish empire, a huge empire that spanned southeast Europe, West Asia and north Africa from the 14th to early 20th Centuries.
