UK to be an ‘AI superpower’ by 2030

Chips are up: Jensen Huang, co-founder and chief executive of AI chipmaker Nvidia, says he is taking a stake in NScale, a UK cloud computing company which, he predicts, will earn revenues of up to £50bn over the next six years.

Is this a future we should want? A raft of American tech companies have opened their wallets to fund Britain’s AI industry. The government is ecstatic. But not everyone is so keen.
