Drought - A time when there is not enough water and the ground is very dry.
Geoengineering - Deliberate attempts to intervene in the Earth's natural processes to counteract climate change on a large scale.
Mitigate - Make something bad less serious or dangerous.
Sulphur dioxide - A toxic chemical compound used in making sulphuric acid.
Aerosols - Liquids kept in a pressurised container and then released as a spray.
Fossil fuel - Fossil fuels, including coal, crude oil and natural gas, are made from decomposing plants and other organisms. The non-renewable fuels are burned for energy, emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Capitalism - A form of economy characterised by private property and competition between companies.
Profit - A financial game.
Humanitarian - People or views that advocate for human welfare
