Only 100 years ago, there was no such thing as a television. Fifty years ago, nobody had a personal computer. Twenty years ago, Steve Jobs had yet to even think about the iPhone. The last century has seen a technology revolution. The way we live has changed dramatically and forever. Now, we are at the start of a new period of transformation. Artificial intelligence is not a new idea. But in the last year, it has become a part of our everyday lives in a way few outside of the world of tech anticipated. How will ChatGPT affect the way we learn and communicate? In five, 10 or 20 years, will there still be any jobs left for humans? Could AI even be a threat to our very existence? Or will it solve the problems that humans have tried for millennia to overcome and failed, from conflict resolution to disease?
