Life in 2030

The first quarter of the 21st Century is already complete. It brought the iPhone, Google maps, Donald Trump, numerous wars and even the first true artificial intelligence. But now it is time to look to the future. The first newborns of Generation Beta are crying in their cradles. By 2030, could they be commuting to primary school in a hypersonic train? Will their teachers have been replaced by robots? Will their Millennial and Gen Z parents have fixed the climate crisis? Will they sit in a circle, jaws open, and stare in wonder at the television as the first woman walks on the Moon? This week, we ponder all these questions and more as we look five years into the future.
