Do we all need role models? Great women have made leaps and bounds this year in every field, from science and art to social justice and politics.
Here are four women who have been role models for others in 2024.
1.Bisan Owda. Bisan Owda is no typical influencer. Her videos document her daily life as a Palestinian journalist in Gaza.
2. Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke. As New Zealand's most prominent Gen Z parliamentarian, Maipi-Clarke performed a traditional ceremonial dance in parliament, in protest against a controversial bill.
