Commonwealth - Officially called the Commonwealth of Nations, it was set up in 1926. There are 54 members in all. It grew out of the British Empire and many members, although not all, were former British colonies.
Cenotaph - A monument to those killed in World War One. The word is Greek for empty tomb.
Veterans - People who used to serve in the army.
World War One - A war that included many European countries between 1914 and 1918.
World War Two - A global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945 and included all of the great powers.
Unalterable - Something that cannot be changed.
