New law allows teenagers to vote at 16

Youth voice: The UK (as a whole) last changed its voting age in 1969, when the voting age was reduced to 18 from 21.

Should 16-year-olds count as adults? The UK government has announced that 16 and 17-year-olds will be allowed to vote at the next big election. Is this a good idea?
