Will the mind always be a mystery? Scientists have discovered that lockdown changed teenagers' brains. But they do not yet know what this means.
What's happening?
The scientists were amazed. They had looked at brains of two different groups of teenagers. But they were not expecting there to be so many differences.
The first group of teenagers were studied before the Covid-19The official scientific name for the type of coronavirus that swept the world from March 2020. lockdownPeriods of time when, due to the coronavirus pandemic, people were ordered to stay indoors. . The second group had their brains scanned afterwards.
The scientists found out that during lockdown, the teenagers' brains aged faster than normal.
In older people, these changes often stop their brains working properly. But the head of the project, Professor Ian Gotlib, says it is not clear what this means for young people.

We should not be surprised. Today, we know more about space than our own brains.
We still do not know why we dream. And we do not know how we are able to think about ourselves and know that we exist.
The problem is that the brain is much more complexDifficult or complicated. than any other part of the body.
Will the mind always be a mystery?
Yes! Nobody knows for certain exactly how the mind words. It is so complex that no one will ever fully understand it.
No! We know so much more about science than ever before. One day, someone will crack the code of the brain. And technology will help them do it.
