Schools shut down debate, finds report

Future voices: "School is the one hope we have left of a less polarised world in which there is deeper understanding of complex issues and emotions," concluded a report by think tank Demos — but only if debates take place.

Is this a problem? A new report finds young people are bursting with ideas but have few opportunities for discussing them. Some think schools must do more to give them the space they need.
