But in January 2022, an audio clip was published online. It led to the player being arrestedStopped by the police and taken to a police station. and chargedFormally accused of a crime. with serious crimes, including assault and attempted rape.
The charges were dropped by the police in February. Mason Greenwood says he "made mistakes". But he also says that he "did not do the things I was accused of".
Last month, Manchester United said he would not play for the club again. Now, the club has loaned him to another team, Getafe.
