Can teachers always be neutral? A new survey suggests that they should be in the front line of dealing with conspiracy theories — but not all feel in a position to do so.

Circumference - The distance around an object that is round or curved.
Conspiracy theories - Theories that explain world events by blaming shady groups of powerful people operating in secret. Some conspiracy theories have a basis in fact, but many more of them are completely invented. What is more, they often play on dangerous prejudices such as antisemitism. It's worth being especially cautious and critical when you come across accounts that ascribe enormous agency to small and secretive groups.
Fake news - News or stories created to deliberately misinform or deceive readers. Fake news is often created to influence views or for political motives.
Neutral - Not supporting either side of an issue.
Marginalised - Treating a person, group or idea as if they are unimportant.
Misogyny - Hatred of or discrimination against women. The term comes from the Ancient Greek "miso", meaning "hate", and "gyne", "woman".
Andrew Tate - An American-British media personality who has become notorious for controversial videos. He has been charged with rape and human trafficking.
