Why are learning styles a myth?

You might have heard that some people learn better by seeing, others by hearing or some by doing, but research shows that the idea of "learning styles" is actually nonsense. Studies have found no evidence that matching teaching methods to these supposed styles helps anyone learn better. In reality, we all use a mix of seeing, hearing, and doing to understand new things.
