Charlotte Dujardin - one of Britain's top Olympians - will no longer be competing. She has pulled out after a video appeared which seems to show her whipping her horse 24 times.
Dujardin already has six Olympic medals, including three gold medals. She takes part in dressage, a sport in which horses dance to music in front of judges.
She was hoping to become the British woman with the most Olympic medals in Paris.

Some say horse events are also dangerous for horse riders, and that it is not fair to make horses train hard for an event they will never understand.

No! There will always be people who do the wrong thing - just like some people are bad pet owners. But that does not mean we should get rid of dressage. It has a very long history.
