Gimmicks - Attention-grabbing tricks or features, often flashy, superficial, or used to persuade or manipulate people.
Counter-intelligence - Activities designed to prevent or thwart spying.
Espionage - Spying.
Headhunters - Peopel who actively find and contact qualified individuals to fill a company's job vacancies.
Covert - Hidden or concealed.
Nefarious - Wicked or criminal.
Prejudicial - Showing an unfair bias or being harmful and damaging.
Outcry - A strong, public expression of anger or protest.
Cosying up to - Behaving in a very friendly or overly familiar way toward someone, usually to gain favour, advantage, or approval.
Waging - Carrying out or conducting something, usually a war, campaign, or fight.
Hypocritical - A person whose actions contradict their stated beliefs.
