Uefa - The Union of European Football Associations is the organisation that administers football tournaments in Europe.
Knockout stage - The stage after the group stage in a tournament, in which teams play each other head to head. Whoever loses is knocked out of the competition.
Tibia - The large bone in the lower leg.
Equaliser - In sports, a goal or score which brings the two teams level.
Frederick the Great - The monarch of Prussia from 1740 to 1786. Prussia increased its territories under his reign.
Prussia - A former German state whose capital was in Berlin. In the late 19th Century it united its neighbours into modern Germany.
Abraham Lincoln - He served as president from 1861 until his assassination in 1865. Lincoln, who led the country through the American Civil War, is one of the most popular US presidents of all time.
Captain - A senior rank in the army, or the highest rank on a boat.
Private - Belonging to one person or group of people only. Also, the lowest rank of soldier in most armies.
