Palestine Action - A pro-Palestinian protest network that uses direct action tactics in the UK.

Narodnaya Volya - A 19th Century Russian revolutionary organisation that used terrorist methods to try to overthrow the tsarist system.
Tsar - Title given to an emperor of Russia before the revolution of 1917. The word was originally used for the Bulgarian monarchs in the 10th Century, but can also be used to refer to anyone with absolute power.
Islamist - An advocate of Islamic fundamentalism. Often used in the West to describe those who believe in imposing Sharia (Islamic law) on societies.
Far-right - A range of ideologies that emphasise social order, racial purity and the elimination of opponents.
Black sites - Detention centres operated by states to hold prisoners who have not been charged with crimes. They have often been used to mistreat prisoners.
Dictatorship - A form of government in which one person possesses all the power without any limits.
