Is the US running concentration camps?

52,000 adults and 13,700 children are being detained at centres on the US border. Reports claim the children lack beds, blankets or soap, and show signs of neglect. New York senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has described the centres as “concentration camps” — but are they? If you define concentration camps as “mass detention of civilians without trial”, then, yes. However, others say the term is inaccurate and disrespectful to Holocaust victims.
