Can the internet be saved?

“The web has become a public square, a library, a doctor’s office, a shop, a school, a design studio, an office, a cinema, a bank and so much more,” wrote its inventor Tim Berners-Lee on its 30th birthday. But thanks to fake news, trolling, data breaches and cybercrime, many are “unsure if the web is really a force for good.” He wants the whole world to pull together to save it. Can it be done?
