Here, 200,000 technology experts and spectators gather in the middle of the desert to showcase the gadgets that will shape the future. We need to be wary. Letting computers spy on every moment of our lives could have bad consequences for privacy. We don't know where this information could end up. Besides, do we really need all this stuff? Surely we're not so lazy that we need a computer to press a button on a microwave for us. It's a silly waste.
