Europe is a continent of many parts. It has 50 countries (or so says the UN — others disagree), 746 million people and more than 200 spoken languages. Many nations together as part of the European Union. Meanwhile, others watch on from the sidelines — some eagerly wishing to participate, others actively shunning. Today, Europe's future looks uncertain. It has a war waging on its shores. Its countries struggles to find common ground. But there is no doubt: the second-smallest continent by land mass still has an outsized influence on the world.
