Having new ideas is a part of being human. Coming up with new ideas, and putting them into practice, helps to move the world forward and make it a better place.

There were many new ideas in 2022.

If it is possible, someone will already have done it, he says. But he does not think it is a bad thing.

William MacAskill, another philosopher, argues that people should follow an idea called "effective altruismA philosophical and social movement that suggests using evidence and reason to work out the best way to help as many people as possible. ". It means that if you want to do good, you should do things that will help the most people possible in the future. This means spending money to stop climate change, for example, rather than giving to an animal shelter.

Shatzi Weisberger argued that we should stop being scared of death. Before she died, she said that we should talk more about death to live a life without fear.

Yes! History will remember the thinkers that drove our world forward. It is big ideas that matter, not small actions.
