What's happening?
In a factory in DenmarkA country in Northern Europe. It is where Lego was first invented., 11 tiny plastic figures go through a machine. They go in plain. When they come out, they are all different colours. The result is a rainbow of little toys. They are every colour. They go from deep purple to bright orange.

Lego has made a collection of toys that celebrates prideFeeling of satisfaction or honour about your own achievements. . It contains 11 figures in the colours of the rainbow.
They are designed to represent people from all backgrounds. They do not have a specific genderA person's gender identity (whether they feel like a man, woman or something else) is not the same as their biological sex (which is determined by genitals, hormones or chromosomes).. Lego says they are meant to "express individualityQualities that make one person or thing different from all others.".
Matthew Ashton created the set. "Growing up," he said, "being told what I should play with... the message I always got was that somehow I was 'wrong'".
Matthew wanted to make toys for everybody, whatever gender they are and whoever they love. At first, he only made one set of Everyone Is Awesome to decorate his desk.
But as soon as he had made it, he realised lots of customers wanted the toys too. Now, the whole set is almost sold out.
Should we get rid of boys' and girls' toys?
Some say
Yes! Everyone plays with toys when they are young. They make a big difference to our lives and they can affect how we feel. It is important that everybody can see themselves in the toys they play with. Toy companies should realise this and make sure that they do not make items that create
stereotypes.
Others think
No! The answer is not making all toys the same. The best thing about this Lego set is that it celebrates everybody. We should be able to play with whatever we like, whatever our gender. Instead of getting rid of "boys'" and "girls'" toys, we should stop judging people for their choices.
