What's happening?

Hurray! At the end of the movie, everything has worked out well for Wild Knuckles and Gru. They have beaten their enemiesPeople who hate each other. and Knuckles has escaped from the police.

If you watch Minions: The Rise of Gru in most parts of the world, this is the ending. But not in China.

In China, Knuckles is caught by the police and sent to prison. 

China has changed other films too. In the Chinese version of Fight Club, viewers are told that the police "arrestedStopped by the police and taken to a police station. all criminalsPeople who break the law.".

But it is not just China that films are changed for. The makers of Inside Out were worried that people in Japan would not understand a daydream about hockey. So they changed the dream to be about football. 

Should films have different endings in different countries?

Yes! Every film is made with its audience in mind. It is normal to have different endings in different countries. 

No! We should not allow different countries to change the endings of films to suit them. Everyone should be allowedIf you let someone do something, you allow it. to see the same version.
