Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz received his Honorary CBE in 2016. But this weekend, a newspaper revealed how he got it.
In 2011, bin Mahfouz met a man called Michael Fawcett.
Fawcett was Prince Charles's right-hand man. He was always there to help and give him advice.
He introduced bin Mahfouz to Prince Charles and they had a private meeting.
Soon afterwards, bin Mahfouz donated £1.5m to two of Charles's favourite charities. Then, in 2016, bin Mahfouz got his CBE.
Now, old emails seem to show that bin Mahfouz agreed to pay if he could get his honour.
Since the story came out, Michael Fawcett has quit his job. Some think the prince should too.
Is Prince Charles fit to be king?
Some say
No! He was clearly part of the plan. It shows us that he does not respect rules. Most people receive CBEs for doing amazing things and making the country proud. If Charles is going to be king, he should respect that.
Others think
Of course! Everybody makes mistakes. This was a bad one. But Charles is also an inspiring person. He has fought climate change for over 20 years. He has set up dozens of charities. This is proof he can rule a country.
