Every two years, Americans have a chance to vote and choose new politicians to make the country's laws. In a speech before the elections, Joe Biden told Americans about his fears that Republican party politicians and members may not accept the results if they lose. 

"We can't take democracyA system of government based on the idea of rule by the people. for granted any longer," he said. Some fear there could even be violence. 

Last month, a man broke into the house of a top Democrat politician and attacked her husband. And a large number of Americans - nearly one in three - do not believe Donald Trump really lost the 2020 election.
