They thought it could have been sent from China to spy on the country. When the balloon moved over the sea, they decided to shoot it down.

This happened in early February. But now, more objects have been shot down over other parts of the USA and CanadaA country in North America. It is the second-largest country in the world by land area. . They are not like the balloon, and nobody knows for sure where they have come from.

They are known as UFOS, or Unidentified Flying Objects. And some think they could even have been sent by aliens from outer space.
